For the past seven years I’ve tirelessly advocated for children in Montgomery County. As an attorney and child advocate working with Montgomery Child Advocacy Project (MCAP) I’ve seen some of the best and the worst this county and commonwealth have to offer in terms of improving children’s lives and I see many areas where we can work to make things better.
I became a child advocate because I fundamentally believe that every child, every person, deserves the opportunity to have a happy, successful, and fulfilling life. Many children in our county need more support, and sometimes court intervention, to allow them this opportunity. I’ve worked with police, the Office of Children and Youth, parents, as well as judges and lawyers in this mission, and I’m ever thankful for their support and dedication to our county’s children. The cases I deal with run the gambit from criminal matters, civil matters, sexual and physical abuse, foster care and adoption, and sex trafficking. My role allows me to give voice to the voiceless and to protect children. These are two things I’m passionate about.
Now, I want to extend that role, I want to give voice to your needs and your concerns. I want to be your advocate. And, I want to make this county and commonwealth a better place to live. Everyone deserves the right to be healthy, educated, safe, and have economic opportunities, and I will work to ensure that is the case for the people of Pennsylvania. There’s too much at stake right now to allow for complacency, we need to step up, we need to fight, and we need to make Pennsylvania a better place to work and live. Please join me in this fight, both our commonwealth and I need your support.
